It is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial, what experiences have been deeply buried.

About me.

I am a qualified registered therapist with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). As a member of the BACP, I am accountable to their framework and guidelines, which ensures I provide you the best possible service and a safe therapeutic space.

My Approach.

I am a trained person-centred and integrative therapist. Using this approach I see you, the client, as an individual with your own lived experiences, thoughts and feelings. I am committed to working in a manner that is suitable for you and your needs in our sessions.

I aim to walk with you through the journey of empowerment and self-discovery counselling can bring about.

Why therapy?

At any stage in life, we can experience changes or moments where it becomes difficult to cope with our thoughts and feelings. This can result in feeling stuck and not knowing how to process what we're experiencing. Knowing who or how to open up to others can feel incredibly difficult and can make us feel isolated and alone. You may feel that you are a  burden or what you're experiencing is too much for someone to understand. Having a therapist allows you to share all parts of you, parts that are accepted wholeheartedly without shame or judgement, which may not feel possible even with those you feel closest to.

As a therapist, I can assure you, not one part of you is too much and you deserve a space that feels safe, where you can be heard and wholly understood. Often, when we have not experienced a safe space to this extent - where we are not minimised or judged, it can be freeing and transformational. Taking the first step to reach out takes courage and it is natural to feel anxieties and uncertainties around this, which is why I am committed to working with you in a compassionate, warm and empathic manner. I have worked with many clients who at the beginning, have also felt similar to how you may be feeling now.

Working in this manner alongside with my therapeutic approach has granted me the privilege of witnessing the lasting and positive changes clients have made to their lives.
